Blu-ray Ninja

Last time I tried this was back when I first got some blu-rays, thought I'd try it again just for fun, and with a dual layer AVC film.
Test subject was Spider Man 2. I played the DVD in my PS2 using component cables, and the BD in the PS3 using HDMI. I set both to the car chase scene, pressed 2 X buttons at the same time, then flipped between them with my trusty remote. As I suspected, like a day and night difference. Blu-ray was waayyy sharper; the DVD almost looked fuzzy by comparison. All the more reason I'm not afraid to get BDs of the DVDs I already have. And the crazy thing is I only have a 1080i TV with a very simple 2-speaker stereo. I can't wait to try this test next summer after I make some upgrades. ![]() |
