Default Cd Feature Left Off Some Blu-ray Players Is A Minor Feature

The Samsung, Philips, Panasonic, and Sony Playstation 3 Blu-ray players play CD’s. The Pioneer BDP-HD1 and Sony BDP-S1 are great players with 1080P/24 support but they don’t play CD’s. Most likely second generation Pioneer and Sony machines will play CD’s. Sony and Pioneer wanted to get these first generation high quality players to market as soon as possible and they most likely felt the CD feature being left off is a miner feature. Possible with a firmware update the CD feature could be added.
If I owned a display that accept 1080P/24 I would buy the Pioneer Blu-ray and to me the CD feature is a minor issue. People that own a basic 1080P set with out 24 fps input would enjoy the Sony Playstation 3. For the average user the Playstation 3 is the way to go.
