BDP-S300 pq grain HELP?

hello i'm new here, ive been reading these boards fer months but i just joined. i am by no means new to this format or to home a/v equipment setup but i do have a question. ive got a bdp-s300 hooked up direct hdmi to my samsung 4042h and the pq is almost perfect except for one thing there is a level of grain to the picture. i know its not the tv because i had a ps3 hooked up before and the picture was perfect no grain what so ever on the same movies i'm playing now (ex- spiderman 123, diehard, bladerunner, simpsons etc.) so i know its the player but i was wondering if there are some tweaks or adjustments i could make to reduce the grain. or is this just common and should i just buy another player?
