I do hope Miracle Day leaves the door open for more Torchwood adventures with Jack & Gwen. The serial nature of both Children of Earth & Miracle Day make it more difficult, as they'll never be able to go back to a series of one offs.

As far as I'm concerned, anyone on the US side of the cast is expendable. US actors have trouble coming back to a series after it's been gone for 18 months or 5 years, but brits don't seem to have that trouble.

Yeah plus I have a feeling that

[Show spoiler]most of the US characters will end up dead by the end of the season and we are left with just Jack, Gwen and Rhys again.

We can go back to an alien of the week type series depending on how Miracle Day ends as the

[Show spoiler] tower has been rebuilt as we learned in the first episode of Miracle Day and they can once again reopen Torchwood after building a new hub. All depends of what RTD wants to do though and how Miracle Day ends.
