Also forgot the new annoying argument I've been seeing.

"If MS included HD-DVD in the elite it would have turned the war the other way"

To me that's also silly, considering that if they did it would have only effected new buyers of that model and not the current base.

Also the "If's" are pointless. They didn't, no point in reinventing scenarios that didn't happen.

I've gotten completely uninterested in visiting other forums that argue about the format war. Most of them are filled with BD supporters gloating, HD-DVD supporters still thinking Fox and Disney are about to switch and WB coming back and when the arguments get too heated it always comes down to "BD needs HD-DVD supporters, if your too mean to us we'll just get turned off on the format"

That last one to me makes no sense. BD is now aiming at mainstream. Why would a few hundred bitter thin skinned HD-DVD supporters make any dent in BD sales when they aren't buying now, and weren't enough to help the format they chose in the first place
