Default calibration

i rented ratat umm.... the rat anime where he cooks tried the calabration tool and had no luck/no clue what i was doing really so i called it quits....

ive heard sonys come pretty well set up out of the box is this true? if so which modes do you use mostly because vivid seems to look bad on most things except games and cinema pretty much makes everything movie tv etc... look the best. comments opinions please....

also soon after Feb 1st im returning my tv and getting the 46xbr4, i dont know anything about the 120hz or motion blur but after reading about it on the forum here i am convinced i see it and its killing me

is the tweaking of calibration more perspective or more "this is good/this isn't", do all you xbr4 owners have the same calibrations im wondering.
