He was saying you "can't tell the difference" at all. I told him to put them side by side and he'd see a huge difference, but he refuses to do that =P

Then again, this is the same guy that said Sharp makes crappy TVs and is content with mp3s so .. *shrug*
That's the way it is nowadays with the young folks....c'mom now, mp3s? Portable is about thing that is good about mp3.

Lol uncompressed music is just as portable as lossy mp3 tunes, you just have to pay a bit more for the increased storage space

Ignorance is bliss. Tell your friend to go get his eyes checked. Seriously. He probably needs glasses.

He's 33, and older than I am. I only use Mp3s in my car because my stereo won't do FLAC. Which is a shame because if I turn my stereo up past a "normal" level, the speakers crack, but I can blast the hell out of a CD...

Funny story... he's supposed to wear glasses, and only does when he's reading. I have a few 720p movies and, I mean, they look good, but if I wanted to watch 720p, I wouldn't have paid more for a 1080p TV.

Then again, his TV isn't calibrated at all, it looks dark as hell to me, and his whites look grey. I gotta try and convince him to use my WoW disc and get that thing a lot better. -- Doubt it'll matter, since when I said the cable company's HD signal was crap, he looked at me funny... I was like "Cogeco's HD signal is trash, its weak, compressed and distorts" .. him: "I've never seen that"... "How have you not? watch when the computerized sportscentre logo comes up.. it breaks up" "Meh, I don't care enough" ....

Personally, I think Cogeco's is bad enough that I'm considering getting an indoor Antenna for NetworkTV and using the cable for my sports packages.

How's the selection of $15 blu's? Any additional titles that weren't shown in the flyer?

They were still setting up the display, I didn't see anything. They didn't even have a sale sign on Arkham City yet.

Just a reminder to anybody that missed out on Walmart's price for Batman... SEARS is advertising that they'll match any Black Friday advertised sale price, so take the ad and try that.

Oh about the movies. Nothing exciting. I think I saw the Adjustment Bureau but besides that, most of the movies were cheaper elsewhere.

I bought the first three seasons of Sons of Anarchy for 30 bucks each. That's the cheapest I've seen them.

It was yesterday. They were on a cardboard sale rack at the front of the store. This was Dartmouth, Nova Scotia but all of Wallmart's prices are set across the country as far as I know.
