Default Help with Audio from PS3
Okay, I just bought another PS3 recently and am having problems with the audio output. I have a very basic setup that includes my 40gb PS3 connected to a Yamaha 5.1 receiver via Optical cable. I went in to the PS3 menu and selected audio output via Optical. My problem is when I go to watch a movie the receiver shuts off and flashes "check speakers." I know the speaker connections are good because I have no problems with the audio through my DirecTV. I'm pretty sure the receiver is shutting down as soom sort of protection mechanism?? Any advice/help? Thanks in advance.
