Onkyo 605 (~$360 shipped) or 705 ($640 shipped) ????

I have an HD DirecTV with HDMI video output/optical audio, and a PS3 with HDMI output. My "upconverting" DVD can output HDMI video directly into my Samsung HT-6187 DLP (2 HDMI Inputs), and I can use Optical sound from the DVD player to my future Onkyo. My speakers are HTIB quality, but I plan on upgrading them later this year (Thanks Prez Bush!).

So, is the 705's THX certification and extra HDMI worth the extra $250?

I'm not doubting that $650 is a good deal for that receiver, but will the $250 I save be better spent on new speakers or another Blu-Ray player?
