Thats Petrol, Diesel is slightly more expensive.
It's mostly taxes, isn't it? Brent crude isn't many times more expensive than other crude, so the base constituent is about the same cost all over. And it doesn't have the transport costs like oil to the US.

Gasoline is about $1.05 a litre here. 3.96 litres per US gallon -> $4.16 a US gallon (currencies are about par nowdays). But, there are 30%-40% taxes in that.
