Default Warner dropping HD DVD earlier than expected ?

At least on the French market...

According to
http://www.hdnumerique.com/actualite...en-france.html

If we believe the press planning of the next releases of Warner Home Video on the French market, it seems that the editor will finally drop the HD DVD format earlier than expected. The company had originally anounced that it would effectively stop its HD DVD releases starting on May 31st 2008.

This relatively short delay was allowing the release in France of important titles such as "The assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford" or "In the Valley of Elah".

No HD DVD release is figuring anymore on that planning, except for "Le Gout de La Vie" (No Reservations) and "A Vif" (The Brave One) visibly awaited for April 2nd and April 16th on the French market.

No modifications are expected on the planning of the editor for Blu Ray releases.
Wonder if this is a sign of things to come for Warner US ?
