Default Pioneer vs. Panny. Help!

Ok, I'm ready to pull the trigger in about 2 weeks and made my choice with the Pioneer PDP6010 60 inch. Now i've been reading about the Panasonic TH-58PZ700U 58 inch. Cnet gave the Panny 8 out of 10 and most reviews say its a great set. I havent seen it in person so I am just going by reviews. The Pioneer I have seen and well, it was smokin' . Now, there is also a price difference of about $1500 between the two. My concern is if that price difference is justified or not. I dont think the $$ difference between the standard Pioneer and the Elite is justified, but thats just me {ymmv,etc..}. I'm not really concerned with the overall cost as much as I am concerned about spending my money wisely Anyone own the Panny that could chime in? Any Kuro owners make the decision? Any and all opinions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.
