Default High Defintion Title Released 3 Weeks Before DVD Version

A forum member has suggested releasing HD titles ahead of their standard DVD counterparts. Some people have rejected this idea saying this will make standard DVD owners too upset. Of course there will always be some people that will get mad no matter what you do. I believe it is a better plan for bringing in movie lovers into the HD fold. Well, apparently I'm not the only one.

According to this article, an indie film will reach the HD platform 3 weeks before the standard DVD version. I believe Blu-ray exclusive studios should do this as well. It's best for the Blu team to start implementing this strategy before Universal does it. Now that "the ice" has been broken, I think it's only a matter of time before other studios follow down this path. What do you think?
