Band Of Brothers and National Lampoon were from Cash America. I'm not sure why BOB was $5, none of their TV boxsets are priced and it rang up as a video game. Best not to ask questions though!

Evil Dead remake $3
Christmas Carol w/slip $5
Captain America w/slip $5
Road House $5
Terminator Remastered (sealed) $5
Paul Blart Mall Cop $5

some ebay fodder, some not. Heard Mall Cop is hilarious, what is definitely hilarious is the Kevin Smith, and Scott Mosier commentary on Road House

I got mine for $20 + shipping a couple years ago and was stoked it was that far under $30

So, the normal rate is 5 for $20. I didn't actually want Pacific Rim, so I asked one guy at the counter how much they were. He said $4 for new titles, $2 for older. I figured, what the hell, I can sell Pacific Rim to a friend for $10 and make half my money back. Went to the counter, and a different guy was open. I told him I had five Blu-Rays, and without looking at them, he rang me for the "older" price, or $10 for all five. I wasn't gonna argue with him. Now the $10 copy of Pacific Rim covers all but $0.85 of the purchase. Even if I hate all four of these movies, I come out on top. And to think, the last few times I've been in this place, they haven't had anything...

To be fair, I think this is the first (and I'll probably assume the last) time I'll ever get quite this good a price on all new releases. Usually I only find one or two new ones at a time, and I pay $4 apiece.

It's crazy because those are newer titles. Who's buying a blu than selling it to a pawn shop for like $2 a week or two later is what I want to know.

I can't lie, it's very likely that these were stolen and sold for drug money. However, I didn't steal them, so I don't have to care!

I didn't realize yesterday that Machete Kills was only released two days ago. Probably would've bought the other one if I had!

These usually are stolen from what you see in Pawn Shops. Same thing with seeing new releases at FYE used a few days after release.

But that's an impressive haul pick up there for $20!

It was $10! It was supposed to be $20, but the guy rang me up for the "older title" price and I wasn't gonna correct him.

Well, that is just awesome. Surprised the pawn shop doesn't mark them up more. Good for you! I would own WAY more if I could get them like you do.

I'm sure they don't care. Just as long as they get their fix, they're happy. Had one friend get a $500 stereo from his mom for Christmas and she only paid $50 for it. She got it from a druggie.

Are there any good pawn shops in the south suburbs of Chicago? I have been to a few, but they haven't been all that good.
