I've seen a few people here asking how to change the frame rates. I have little doubt that different models of equipment work in different ways. My TV automatically changes the rate according to the source it is receivng and it lets you know so on screen. So if I want to switch between 24 and 60 I tell the player what rate to send to the TV and the TV switches rates to accomodate. I personally opted not to spend the extra money for the 120hz because I was un-impressed by it. Actually it looked quite good when playing back broadcast TV and animated Blu-Rays. But I too thought it made movies shot on film look too fake. If I watched a lot of sports on my HDTV I'd probably have opted for 120hz as the motion clearly is much smoother. To each his own I guess.
