Really great finale, agree that the AoD/Harryhausen-y skeleton guys were well done. That headless one that stabbed Jojen? What a creep! (Although I'm secretly glad they don't have to drag Jojen around anymore). Hulk Hodor was also a fun addition.
The entire scene with The Hound and Brienne was one of my favourites of the series. Her little interplay with Arya at the start was a joy to watch, and the fight was mesmerising. I think if The Hound hadn't been through so much recently and had been better fed/rested he would have definitely taken Brienne. As much as I was sad when Arya left him to die miserably, I'm also holding out hope that we might see him again as a result. I had a feeling Tywin wasn't going to last much longer after Cersei revealed her "secret". I hope Tyrion is off somewhere nice now - I liked how Varys decided to go with him after the bells started tolling. He wasn't about to stick around for that mess. |
