The original color palette of BATB was a masterpiece.
It was melancholic, with not oversaturated colors, and shadows, mimicing renaissance paintings.
Now, it's become a circus fest for the people of 21st century that like animation over-colorful!
I don't see a "circus fest" when it comes to the BD, maybe you've gotten too used to the faded looking versions of the VHS and the LD. What you've presented there doesn't look like a masterpiece of a color palette to me, it looks more like the flaws inherent in the outdated media, with the lighter colours burned out and a reddish tinge. The BD looks closer to what I saw at the theatre. You would really need a film print or the original cells to prove your point.

Disney have put out some subpar transfers of their animation classics, but this isn't one of them.
