Sony impresses, Microsoft surprises, Nintendo disappoints

Seems to me like this reporter likes SONY,
Not that its a bad thing or anything.But this Years E3 was an overall dissapointment for all 3 systems. No real surprise games other than the whole FF13 going multiplatform and MAG which has a cool premise but its just like all the other games out there. We all want something new and fresh and I honestly dont think that I was treated to anything that I was like OMG I have to get more info on this new game.

GOD of War 3 was confirmed by a Teaser Trailer. I was hoping for some gameplay videos.
No news on Team ICO's project,
No news on Beyond good and evil 2
Nothing really new on Either of the FINAL FANTASY 13's
THE AFRO SAMURAI game looks tight.

I can honestly say that this year im making only 3 to 4 video game purchases.

I don't see a problem with the 360 getting FF13! FF series was a great thing for the PS, but more games are coming out that a new fanbase will arrive. MS is a little too late to get FF13 and SE knows this. They are taking care of business and getting what they can out of it. I think 360 fans will stay with Fable 2 more than go with FF13. Most 360 users are not familiar with FF series and with that will sway away from it all together. I am sure it will be sold, but not what MS expects from the deal.

It's already too late, that's why FF13 is still exclusive in Japan. Since the 360 is pretty much dead there.

The majority of 360 owners in the US probably wouldn't care much for FF13 anyways, Square knows this
but they're hoping to get a few good chunk out of the deal. Knowing full well it'll hurt their PS fans.

Yep already too late, not sure if it will hurt the PS fans since they can still get FF13.

Not really any different from when Rockstar had to delay GTAIV because they were having problems developing on the PS3. No one got it until they were both done. They both turned out fine and probably better as a result. More time developing will just give them more time to polish both versions. In the end, who knows, maybe the North American and European versions will be better versions because of it. Only time will tell but there's plenty to tide gamers over in the meantime.

I think its interesting that your ONLY purchases are games that arent even on my radar to buy. Except MAYBE SC4. And I have a list of about 10 games that are BUY for me before the end of the year. And most of them are PS3 exclusives.

Just shows that everyone has different wants and everyone cant always be happy.

Because Im not a Star Wars nut and the game itself doesnt impress me or do anything for me.

I didnt say 10 exclusive games.. I said 10 games and most of them are exclusives.

Bioshock is so good, I may just buy it all over again. The most atmosphere of any game I've played this gen.

Actually, I couldn't have been more disappointed by Sony's E3 showing.

I think all FPS on PS3 are nearly unplayable because of the controller. Also, less is more. I don't want to play a game with 200 noobs. All top FPS players play on PC anyway. Unless you liked R2 or that other generic FPS game, PS3 was a disappointment. God of War 3 just isn't exciting enough. There are enough action button mashers across both platforms to make it nearly a non-point.

The only things I'm excited about are the movie rental store and LittleBigPlanet. Even the movie store rental was one-upped by MS and Netflix announcing a partnership. I must admit the LBP graph was amazing and the first unique presentation I've ever seen on business stats at E3.

Jack Trenton came off as a buffoon like usual. He's so terrible. I can't believe he still has a job. He's ingenuine and transparent. Did anybody ever believe him when he was touting Sony #1, Sony #1? CEO of Sony didn't when he said that the system was on life support for a long time. Jack was the crux of the problem with Sony being seen as arrogant. At least he's not shown up by Peter Moore every year now. The MS speakers are just as bad, but Jack is completely unlikable. His message this year could be boiled down to "be patient." Really? Is that what you're using to follow up the MS presentation? Umm... the system has been out 2 years. I can say that we've waited long enough and Sony continues to fail on delivery.

Before anyone says anything (like in every other forum I go to), even though I said I hate FPS games, I know Gears of War is not one. I am still not too much of a fan though. Even though I get to play it from my PC to my TV with decent output.

Well, that was almost a complete fanboy post.

- Netflix is providing BELOW DVD quality videos on that service.
- It seems you don't want to play a game that has more anything than X360 can handle...like 256 players.
- The PS3 hasn't been out for 2 years, yet.
- I believe if any of Sony's line up was a X360 exclusive you would love it.

MS got FFXIII and Sony got an improved version of Bioshock. A top rated game lost exclusivity from both sides. Besides that, MS didn't have much at all.

Sony had PSP, PS2 and PS3 COVERED. Plus, the massive improvements to the PS Store with the video section that allows you to transport digital titles to PC and PSP via PS3.
