This one I haven't seen, but it makes me curious if anybody is pursuing releasing "After Dark, My Sweet", another strong Thompson adaptation from the '90's. Jason Patric does a great job at playing a certain kind of Thompson protagonist, I can imagine Billy Zane also being good at it.

I haven't seen this one, but you had me at "Music by Pete Rugolo." Pete Rugolo was an inventive and under-rated composer, arranger and conductor who did great work with the likes of Stan Kenton, June Christy and Nat King Cole. I'm looking forward to hearing his work on This World, Then the Fireworks..

MisterLime, do you know if Iron Warror is part of the current MGM deal? I heard Shout had intrest in it at one point, but MGM didnt have US distribution rights until recently when it became available in streaming.

I watched some of it. It looks pretty good, at least the cinematography. Some risqué subject matter

Yeah I watched about an hour of it last night. I'm going to finish it tonight. Its ok. Billy Zane is great as usual and really is the only reason to watch it as far as I'm concerned. Some great gore effects though. The movie just seems to meander but hopefully my opinion will change.

Definitely kid in a candy store kinda hope but lets hope Ridley Scott would like to add deleted scenes as extras to along with the commentary. There was talk of a 4 hour cut of the film, so there has to be tons of extra footage available if anyone has it it's him. Of course Kino Lorber struck a deal with Paramount on this so I am not sure how long they have to release it before the rights expire.

I just hope this get's released before the end of the year.

Here's a first. Got an order from Deep Discount for five Kinos, but only three were inside of the package (five on the packing slip). It's a shame cause the two missing (Bad Girl and The Lodger) are two of the ones I'm looking forward to checking out the most.

It was a major highly-requested unreleased film. Anymore info would get me in trouble. The rights was not disputed, we licensed it, but the studio decided to take it back and I can't share the reason.

You consider The Swinger major and highly requested? I cannot confirm the studio or the film, but I can tell you it was not The Swinger, which I think has not been released because the film elements are in bad shape.
