Jurassic Park 3 would have been better than The Lost World if they didn't have that kid surviving on the island alone for an extended period of time. Worse than that was the fact that a Raptor spoke English. Whether it was a dream sequence or not, it really took me out of the movie.

But raptors...but raptors are smarter than whales or dolphins...maybe out there somewhere are some hispanic theropods that I can communicate with!

But yes, JP3 was cheese.

Spielberg need to supervise the restoration work on JP and FIX ALL THE GAFFEs that could not have been fixed before, specifically the main T-Rex attack and the Gallimimus luncheon. The rest is fine. John Williams' isolated score in DTS HDMA would be a nice touch!

Talking about lightsabers, the featurettes on Clone Wars include lots of hidef footage from the classic and aberrant trilogies.

the kid in the movie drove me crazy, completely unrealistic.
Alan Grant (fav character) just wasn't himself in the movie
Ellie Satler ends up with some other guy yet still claims that Dr. Grant is "still the best"
John Williams' score for the movie felt like it was rushed and did not have the original Jp feel to it and on the soundtrack they had some stupid country song on it, extremely annoying
no cool Jp vehicles
and there was a bunch of other stuff, I made a list when it came out and I don't have the time to look it up right now.

I wouldn't go so far to say 3 is better than 2, but I view JP3 and JP2 on the same level. I enjoy them both. The first one is pretty good too

We need JP remastered with 7.1! That would be awesome! Probably never happen lol. JP is a must own and will probably be the blu-ray of the year..whenever that will be. I just hope they do a good job with that. I want some new special features.

Definitely looking forward to this release whenever it happens. Classic film

JP2 just didn't have the magic of the first film and although I enjoy the third movie it's still nothing compared to the first.

this is not real. I heard about this maybe 5 or 6 years ago.

edit - the t-rex did look stunning in the documentary. I watched that before I even watched wall-e. well worth the time.

Yeah, I prefer 3 to 2. I mean, The Lost World is a better made movie, but it's full of all these little moments that just ruined it for me. And the ending was just stupid with the T-Rex loose in the city. It just felt like I was suddenly watching a different movie. Didn't work for me. At least JP3 was consistent the whole way through. I don't know. Part 2 disappointed me greatly while Part 3 delivered exactly what I expected.

Neither come near the greatness of the original.

I didn't particularly care for the 3rd movie because it was comprised of A) see new dinosaur B) Scream and Run from dinosaur C) Get Away D) See A) (as in repeat)... There was basically no story. The first one IMO is the only decent one, having read the books, The Lost World read like a movie script which was irritating and, all of the things brought up in the first book, that were conveniently left out of the movie, were dismissed like they weren't even there. That said, I'd still buy the first 2 on Blu in a heart beat. Nothing beats the scene when they drive up in the jeep on the island and it sweeps to all the various Dinosaurs accompanied by a great score.

I would love to see all three films in Blu-ray. Hopefully, it will happen sooner rather than later.

Jurassic park 3 could never have been better than the 2nd one...the 2nd one was awesome. The 3rd was one of the worst movies ever made. talking raptors, little kid on an island by himself forever, only 3 people died! in the first 15 minutes! How about the cell phone in the poop that still worked?? How about all the other crap in that giant pile of crap called Jurassic park 3.

I have the 3 disc deluxe dvd edition in the package that has the "doors".

JP3 while OK - sucked. Not sure who made it. 1 was the best. Two, was ok too.

The first movie was magical and an absolute masterpiece in cinema. You saw these dinosaurs as well actual dinosaurs and gave you an amazing representation of how they would react mixed in with us. The lost world was good, however I only really liked the last part on the island when they go in the "tall" grass and the Raptors just waste them away. The third was below average at best.

Default Jurassic Park Blu-ray Demo!

Amazon.com essential video
Steven Spielberg's 1993 mega-hit rivals Jaws as the most intense and frightening film he'd ever made prior to Schindler's List, but it was also among his weakest stories. Based on Michael Crichton's novel about an island amusement park populated by cloned dinosaurs, the film works best as a thrill ride with none of the interesting human dynamics of Spielberg's Jaws. That lapse proves unfortunate, but there's no shortage of raw terror as a rampaging T-rex and nasty raptors try to make fast food out of the cast. The effects are still astonishing (despite the fact that the computer-generated technology has since been improved upon) and at times primeval, such as the sight of a herd of whatever-they-are scampering through a valley. --Tom KeoghFrom The New Yorkerteven Spielberg's warm-blooded, state-of-the-art dinosaurs are a lot speedier than their nearest movie kin, the galumphing atomic-mutant monsters that crunched Japanese cities under their feet in the fifties and early sixties, and that enables the filmmaker to create dynamic stalk-and-chase sequences.

Jurassic Park is my most wanted film on ANY high def format. That's right, I said it. I'd buy an HD-DVD for this movie.

Edit: Joking of course...but I'm so excited to hear any info at all on the Blu-ray release.

Edit #2: You've convinced me to buy Wall-E early. lol
