Quick version of the 24p stuff?

I'm kind of on the new side to the pulldown and 24p discussions. Can someone give me the short version of this technology? Is it a deal breaker? Refreshing at 60HZ just gives the image a video quality look with 3:2 pulldown judder during camera pans and some fast moving action. Getting a display that refreshes 1080P/24 at 48HZ, 72HZ, 96HZ, 120HZ, 240HZ or higher multiplies of 24 just makes the movie look more like film and eliminates the 3:2 pulldown judder and makes the image more smooth during camera pans. Film itself is not perfect and will have some judder that is not part of 3:2 pulldown.
The true 1080p/24 feature is important but contrast ratio, black levels, and shadow details are more important for over all image quality.

BLU-RAY still looks great at 60HZ. BLU-RAY looks better during camera pans with true 24p refresh rates.
