Coming June 11th on DVD and Blu-ray!

The Girl Most Likely To... (1973) with optional English subtitles
• Brand New 2K Restoration
• Audio Commentary by Film Historian/Author Amanda Reyes and Film Historian/Author Kier-La Janisse

Color 74 Minutes 1.33:1 Not Rated
Stockard Channing (Grease) is Miriam Knight, an “ugly duckling” college girl who is mistreated by everyone, including her bubble-headed roommate and the callous campus jock. But after an accident causes her to undergo reconstructive surgery, Miriam emerges from behind the bandages a ravishing beauty. It’s payback time when she uses her new attractiveness to exact revenge on all those who wronged her. Ed Asner (TV’s Lou Grant) plays the police inspector who’s hot on the trail of the femme fatale. A dark comedy written by comedy legend Joan Rivers (Rabbit Test) and directed by TV veteran Lee Philips (On the Right Track), The Girl Most Likely to... will leave you in stitches. The strong supporting cast includes Jim Backus (TV’s Gilligan’s Island), Joe Flynn (The Strongest Man in the World), Chuck McCann (C.H.O.M.P.S.), Fred Grandy (TV’s The Love Boat), Larry Wilcox (TV’s CHiPs) and Reb Brown (Uncommon Valor).

Lord Love a Duck is his most iconic STARRING role. And most of the audience interested in Midnight Lace would be more interested in Lord Love a Duck over the two you mentioned. Charlton Heston was the lead in a Planet, Roddy was in Monkey make-up and he received an "AND" billing in his supporting role in Fright Night.

That film sounds a lot like the Netflix series Insatiable. Also, it's interesting to see Stockard Channing looking much more age appropriate to play a student than she did seven years later in Grease.

I personally would prefer your Theatrical Cut.
No, it's not because of the blowback, we don't allow a few individuals to sway us one way or another. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly Blu-ray is our number 1 selling Blu-ray of all time, so those individuals who were trying to sabotage our release, were not successful. The reason is the additional cost, we have not made a final decision, so we may still release the theatrical cut and yes, it's the better version of the film.

We have one of them, but due to a reason we cannot share with the fans, it won't be out till late 2020.

#1, huh? Interesting. Can you share a top 10 to pique my (and probably others’) curiosity?

If it is indeed Kino’s #1 selling release of all time, I’d be absolutely shocked if they decide against reissuing it on UHD.

We are doing some 4KUHD tests to see how these Techniscope films will look on UHD, if they pass or test and the sales for Hannibal are good, we may look into going back and re-color A Fistful of Dollars and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly to match the color grading of For a Few Dollars More. The plan would be to release a 4 Disc set, three films on three 4KUHD discs and one Blu-ray disc porting over all the extras for the three films. We would only include one cut of TGTB&TU, not sure which one it'll be, most likely the extended cut.
Love the Dollars films and the only thing that would have me purchase them yet again are UHD releases. I'd prefer the Theatrical Cut of TGTBATU but its my least favorite of the three so the longer cut wouldn't be a deal breaker on a UHD set.

William Holden was born to play Bumper Morgan, a Los Angeles street cop of the old
school facing retirement in the low-key procedural docudrama The Blue Knight
(NBC-TV 11 November 1973). Morgan navigates the streets with all its crime easier
than he does the office with its bureaucracy. He struggles harder in social occasions
than in the course of his duty. The city and the smog are characters, too. Never
over-dramatized but deeply felt and performed with hardboiled empathy, this epic,
eventful mini-series is 240 minutes of impeccable storytelling and cinematic
craftmanship. KL's 2K scan of the 35mm negative is absolutely perfect.

I keep wishing KL will rescue Rich Man Poor Man from obscurity next.

I thought Warner Archives was the one who released The Blue Knight.

If Kino has to go with one cut or the other for the UHD of The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, I don't think many would object to the theatrical cut getting the 4K disc while the extended stays regular Blu.

Though, is seamless branching even possible on UHD? I only have a dozen titles so far and the only one with an alternate cut is Deadpool 2, which is on a separate disc for both Blu and UHD.
