You know what I hate about many blu-ray reviews?

The thing is, you need to take the reviews with a grain of salt. The reviewer talks about what sounds and looks good to him or her on his or her equipment. Best thing to do is rent the movie first and judge for yourself.

He is looking for reviewers to write a more rellivant review about the movie. Stating that "this blu ray is better than its dvd version" is usually already obvious, and not much of a review.

I disagree. They're using the DVD as a point of reference, and letting you know it's better than the DVD is showing you a comparison. If it's A LOT better than the DVD, the reviewer will say that, and we'll figure whether we're content with it or not.

I think a fair portion of the reviews (particularly here) offer a fair assessment of the video presentation.

It's like stating that a cd release sounds better than fm radio.
It's even worse for a catalog movie when they spend most of the time talking about the movie itself like, "Good movie, it looks better than DVD and VHS"

Instead of just syaing what's wrong, why not offer a suggestion on how to improve the way reviewers states their opinion on the visuals of the film?
