Sorry, I thought KMFDMvsEnya meant the episode order I proposed.

I own this, but I have never seen it. Include it or leave it out?
It should fall into the nearest bin.
The series was not good then at all.

I don't have Disney+, but it might be worth getting in order to try out this animated series before deciding whether or not to buy the individual seasons as some of the seasons are a bit expensive to buy blindly.

Yeah The Clone Wars is an awesome show and definitely worth checking out. The “movie” is really just like three or four episodes of the show (the “pilot”) edited your be a single feature (because, I believe, George Lucas liked it so much he wanted to release it theatrically). As a stand-alone feature, I can see how people would think it’s weak. As episodes of the show, I’d say they’re pretty run-of-the-mill. Not the weakest story arc they’ve done, but also not the worst. I wouldn’t watch the Clone Wars movie in a marathon with the live action ones- save it for a series binge.

I'd also recommend the 2003 Cartoon Network "Clone Wars" series that aired between the releases of Episode II and III. Despite being non-canon now, it did have the involvement of George Lucas and and leads directly into Episode III.

Recently finished my Clone Wars rewatch on Disney+. I'd recommend following the official StarWars.com episode order list. I've seen this series 3 times over and I definitely wanna buy it on disc. However, I'm holding out hope that maybe Disney will release a new box set for it.

The 2003 Clone Wars did not have George Lucas's involvement. It's why there was also such a disparity between the two depictions of Grievous's character. The cartoon had to quickly come up with an explanation for his cough in the final episode.

I got hit with Star Wars fever last year leading up to The Rise of Skywalker, and since Disney+ also happened to release and The Mandalorian was going on, I decided to take the plunge and watch the animated series. I was kinda approaching it with an elitist mentality because I thought nothing could compare to the films and these cartoons are probably just mini adventures for kids to watch. Boy was I wrong, there is some of that element to it, but a majority of the episodes are told in story arcs and the later episodes are fantastic. It really fleshes out characters like Obi Wan and Anakin, and Ahsoka is now one of my favorite characters in the Star Wars universe.

I started watching Rebels as well and without spoiling anything, the Season 2 finale was one of the most emotional moments of the entire Star Wars story for me. But for it to have that impact you will have had to watch The Clone Wars.
Anyways, I would say give it a shot. I was a bit hesitant as well and it took me about a season to really get invested, but it is worth it if you really enjoy Star Wars.

I'd heard he had some involvement with the stories, but that could be incorrect.

Not as far as I know. He was heavily involved with the CG series, acting as executive producer and having input on just about every episode.

At the very least we should get Rogue One as it's never had a UK release.

I just hope they keep the poster art on every new release, so they match.
Thanks, will have to keep an eye out for the individual releases then.

Just finished REVENGE OF THE SITH in my "I'm in no hurry" Saga viewing on the 4K discs. Started last Monday with PHANTOM MENACE; watching one every two or three days. Lovin' the hell outta these. REVENGE OF THE SITH has always been my least favorite STAR WARS film... which is kinda like saying "More" is my least favorite Pink Floyd album; in both cases, I love them all... but this time I think I enjoyed SITH more than I ever have. While I know what the screencaps are saying loud and clear about this not being that impressive an upgrade, I've felt all three prequels were better "experiences" than I've ever had with these movies. And I've watched them a LOT. I oddly find that I can follow the action better in those super-cluttered moments of overly-CGI battles when there's no clear eye-trace. And I swear I can tune into John Williams always-fantastic music better than I've ever been able to; and I don't have an Atmos system. More than the Skywalker Saga, this really is the John Williams Saga.

Whether it's a placebo effect or a higher bitrate or the slightly new/darker grade... these flicks are better than ever, and I already loved 'em. SOLO 4K is up next, and then I finally get to dive into the new ROGUE ONE 4K. Good fun.

Very little. He was deep in development of Revenge of the Sith at the time. That's why he basically disowned it when the Clone Wars CG series came out.

My God, the tealification of ESB is just freakin’ egregious when looking at those CAH stills. That’s FOTR:EE bad with what’s been done to the white balance.
