Well, I am expecting a lot from BDA on this CEDIA. Can't exactly tell what am I expecting besides new players, but after disappointing launch of BR I want some good and very good news.

I want to get the low down on how some of the new players perform. I wonder if they will have any dual layer discs there w/better codecs?

I'm on a plane tomorrow and the show floor opens on Thursday. I have two main goals there - look at the front projection systems, and see what BD/HD-DVD is going to be promising us for the holidays and into next year.

I have different requests from different websites including Audioholics and Projector Central - so there is likely to be some stuff up. Probably at (doesn't exist yet) www.avintegrated.com/cedia

You bet !!! I'll be arriving there around 3:30 pm, get checked in to my Hotel (the Warwick Hotel), go to the Convention Center, get my pass, then at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm a cocktail and dinner conference with Sony. Yes, I'll be all questions at that meeting. Friday morning on I'll be going to the following exhibits: Sony, Pioneer Elite, Samsung, Panasonic, Sharp, Hitachi, Runco, Epson, Lexicon, Mark Levinson, Revel, Paradigm, Monitor Audio, B&K, Integra, Arcam, Bryston, Thorens, Grado, Palliser, Stewart, VuTec, BDI, Bello. These are most of the lines we carry here at Audio Excellence.

If there is any 'major' surprizes or introductions, I'll be sure to make a post here on our Forum from the Convention Center. All the issues we are concerned about and have discussed here on the Forum will be paramount on my mind as I meet with these manufacturers, and I intend on bringing them up if there not implemented yet, and get some answers!!!

So, keep (watching) for 'good news' Bye for now

Jim

B + K is releasing nothing new so I wouldn't worry too much about stopping by their booth.

Is that so ??? I will stop by every exhibit of merchandise we represent, regardless of their offerings. It's simply courtesy .

I got some basic info started, but there is an issue going on with my server. So check either of these locations - I will mirror stuff on both sites...

http://www.avintegrated.com/cedia

if that doesn't work...

http://www.bmxtrix.com/avi/cedia/

Come back here and discuss when you are done!
