Finally picked up the 3D Blu of this and watched it last night, first time since my 2D theatrical viewing. I quite liked the film before, but it plays so much better in 3D! A very nice conversion, especially during the fantastic shrunken sequences and even moreso in the quantum realm. Excellent job, and a very entertaining film, and only minimal Avengers references which suits me just fine. I think I’ll have to pick up the sequel in 3D too.

The sequel is definitely worth it in 3D but they changed the aspect ratio from the first movie. Although you do get imax scenes in the sequel so perhaps that evens it out.
