The sequel is definitely worth it in 3D but they changed the aspect ratio from the first movie. Although you do get imax scenes in the sequel so perhaps that evens it out.

When I watch the film, I still am almost disappointed that I don't notice the AR change. I suppose that means the director did a good job incorporating it.

3D does work better with a taller AR. Even with a "scope" screen, the field of view becomes too narrow for some films as they have the black bars "cut off" objects that popout and gimp it (eg: mad max's steering wheel)

16:9 each time, every time, I say. Or shoot within the limits of 'scope.
