I'm sure the Emotiva will work almost as well as it's competitors - Adcom, outlaw,NAD, rotel,..for a third the price,...BUT

Do you really want to invest in gear that gets you " almost " as good sound as a the budget amps I've mentioned above???

I don't think so, unless of course you have no other choice...
