It has been cleared, but unfortunately for us, it's either with another label or coming from the studio.

Kino Lorber Insider: I'm wondering why the UK set of "Violent City" has English audio on the 4k master while on your US set it has not?(only Italian)

Thanks, I'd think that's probably Criterion. I just hope I live long enough to see it released (they do take their own sweet time).

Do you have any more details on this limited of Twice Told Tales? (ie date of release) I was ironically about to spring for an OOP copy of the previous release, but will hold off if it's getting another run. I will day 1 preorder this as it is a title that just slipped by me.

KLI already ruled out Hondo (no Batjac/JW titles) and Money from Home (no previous Olive titles), so unless the funding to restore Flight to Tangiers has miraculously happened, The Man Who Wasn't There is almost certainly the 3D title they've licensed as part of this deal.

I'm not confirming actors, directors, you're seriously asking me to confirm a title?

Snow Day

Serving Sara
The Four Feathers
Narc
Jackass: The Movie
The Hours
Alfie
Lucky Numbers
Save the Last Dance
Crossroads
Domestic Disturbance
A BD of The Four Feathers would be nice. Underrated film. I doubt it's on Kino's priorities.

The other possibility for those 3 2000s titles is they are all 4K UHD releases. A title like The Italian Job (2003), for example.

How long does the typical license last? Is there a loophole that extends the licensing period if the third party decides to sit on an acquisition indefinitely? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I can't wrap my mind around the reasoning behind a label acquiring a license and not doing anything with the property. Years ago I asked the other Insider about 1999's The Claim and he said someone else had picked it up. Must be at least 3 years now and still nothing

I was randomly browsing the Canada section of the Kino website (looking to get more Canadian films, especially from Quebec) and noticed that Viggo Mortensen's Falling was listed. I wonder if this a title Kino might be physically distributing in the future, or was it for the theatrical release?

Also the second Jackass film. If Dreamworks titles are on the table, then there is even more like Match Point, House of Sand and Fog, etc.

The Shootist deserves a release. It is Wayne's last film and one of his best. I'm fine with a blu or 4k. I Just hope it gets out there.

So are there any Paramount titles in your new deal that need extensive work that you'll be willing to do and release, even if it takes a year or more?

There are plenty of Paramount titles that Imprint in Australia released over a year ago that should've had much more restoration before releasing.
All new 2K/4K masters need extensive work, as I said yesterday, we're planning to remaster two to three dozen titles.

We have a few titles previously released by Imprint, we will take a close look at the masters and decide if we'll go ahead as is or do a new 2K/4K transfer. And the decision may also depend on the film, the potential big sellers will receive new transfers, the smaller ones, most likely won't.

Yeah, after I wrote that I realized this, and was going to add it to my post. I think that's a good possibility given the titles left from that era that haven't made it to BD. Narc would be a good pickup of the ones listed.

IMO this makes I Married a Monster from Outer Space very likely among the titles. Someone else here earlier said it had element problems (perhaps sourced from a 16mm?) during the wedding sequence, though I admit I didn't notice it.

Exorcist III and Raising Cain were simple projects. Wasn't E III DC actually shorter than the theatrical cut? And the RC one was 27 seconds longer.

A reconstruction of The Keep "Director's Cut" could potentially cost millions and it may not even be possible, some of those edited scenes may no longer exist and were most likely purged after the they hit the cutting room floor.

Pretty nuts that it doesn't have a US Blu-ray. One of the best Woody Allen films.

It sure does. Something tells me we'll see this from Paramount Presents at some point.
