Ahhh that makes sense. I didn't think of that. Yea the ones I received from the Kino sale didn't come with slips or booklets (which I said is my own fault for not ordering earlier)
But my local FYE had both the TV movies with shrink-wrapped slicovers and I assume a booklet too for $16 a piece. I just got back from there purchasing them. I had a 20% off coupon and the dude working gave me another 10% off for free for a month. $13 a piece after the discounts. Probably keeping them sealed and I'll just watch my bare bones copies.

Can you specify how many films you have from the years 1976 and 1977?

This one is a long shot, but it's Friday! I'm guessing John Wayne and Kirk Douglass are shoe ins for some of the releases. Just wondering how many titles starring each you might have gotten in the deal?

No year-by-year breakdowns.

We asked for a few JW titles, they were not willing to license them.

I got my BD in and the taps sound muffled and scuffed, but that's the corrected disc, correct? Because for the defective disc you cannot hear the taps at all?

I just don't want to cost KL any extra money by sending me a replacement if I already have a corrected disc, even if the corrected disc sound a little muted.

The tap audio for the opening dance sequence is not as loud as the other sequences, that's how it is on the source master and old DVD and VHS releases. If you think you received the old version by mistake, you can ask them to send you the replacement disc.

Correct. It's not just the acquisition fee, but also the restoration cost. Both of them would have to be 4K scans of the original camera negative, since there's either no interpositive or if there's one, it's in very bad shape.

Hello KL Insider,

I've already ruled out Targets based on BFI's announcement that they had to finally cancel it "due to on-going issues with materials required for release." They've been attempting to release it since March 2021.

So are there any Paramount titles in your new deal that need extensive work that you'll be willing to do and release, even if it takes a year or more?

There are plenty of Paramount titles that Imprint in Australia released over a year ago that should've had much more restoration before releasing.
