Martial arts superstar Chuck Norris (A Force of One, Code of Silence) teams up with screen legend Lee Van Cleef (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Death Rides a Horse) to take on a terrorist training camp known only as The Octagon in this deadly tale of revenge! Plagued by painful memories as a fighter, Scott James (Norris) has stayed away from the dark side of battle. But when a vengeance-seeking heiress (Karen Carlson, The Candidate) hires him to infiltrate an international terrorist operation run by his adopted brother (Tadashi Yamashita, American Ninja), Scott has no idea what he’s coming up against. Drawn closer and closer to The Octagon, Scott realizes his brother is using his skill in the deadliest manner, training men in the ninja style of killing. Now it’s up to Scott to battle his brother in the ultimate showdown of Good vs. Evil! Directed by Eric Karson (Black Eagle, Angel Town) and co-starring Richard Norton (Force: Five), Art Hindle (Invasion of the Body Snatchers), Aaron Norris (Lone Wolf McQuade) and Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters), The Octagon is filled with hard-hitting Norris vs. Ninjas action!

So these won't be ported from the Scorpion release?;

Quote:
Introduction (:36, HD) offers a greeting from director Eric Karson, welcoming fans to the Blu-ray.

Interview (23:13, SD) with co-star Tadashi Yamashita suffers a little due to the actor's broken English, but what's here is an overview of his time on "The Octagon" and his personal history, tracing his rise through the industry, including some thoughts on the hilarious 1985 actioner, "Gymkata."

No, the interview is horrible and the intro is pointless.

I had an issue with the question, it felt kind of macabre. And this below follow up also bothers me, but going ahead, I'll make sure to stop talking about The Keep and Mann.

A few Paramount DVDs I'd love to upgrade:

Targets (1968)
Lifeguard (1976)
Staying Alive (1983)
That Was Then... This Is Now (1985)
Campus Man (1987)
Permanent Record (1988)
Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael (1990)
The Thing Called Love (1993)
Milk Money (1994)
A Simple Plan (1998)
Bless The Child (2000)
The Gift (2000)
Domestic Disturbance (2001)
Mean Creek (2004)

Also, I'm pretty sure Paramount owns most of the USA Original Movies that Universal doesn't, so hopefully we'll see stuff like The Haunting Of Sarah Hardy, Deadly Game, Child Of Darkness Child Of Light, Wheels Of Terror, Nightmare On The 13th Floor, etc to go along with the upcoming I'm Dangerous Tonight and High Desert Kill.

I don't know about The Shadow of Chikara, if I had to guess, I'd say no, it's been bootlegged multiple times. But I think the other Bing Crosby Productions are with Paramount. In the past we've released other BC productions like Special Delivery and The Reincarnation of Peter Proud.

They're usually contractual, Woody Allen, David Lynch and some others have the rights to refuse any newly produced extras for most of their films, I'm sure there are others too.

Maybe my phrasing could have used some work. Either way, at this point as you said, lets hope he lives a much longer life, and we all stop mentioning the Keep as it's pretty pointless as of right now.

It's a great movie, I actually saw it in the theaters in the 90s, as part of a repertory series at the Lincoln Center.

Unfortunately, not too many people have heard of it.

We may do a noir set, but nothing is confirmed. Three of the films we renewed from the previous deal will now be released as a set.

Not sure what's your problem with Bob Hope? you seem throw jabs at him once or twice a week.

Hope films are good sellers, not great. The only two I consider very successful are the two horror-themed ones.

Some comedies sell great, we've done well with our Peter Sellers releases, especially THE PARTY, which we renewed. We also renewed Desperately Seeking Susan and Running Scared, some T&A comedies like the Porky's double feature and Up the Creek have also done very well for us.

I'm sure most comedies with big stars like Jim Carrey, Will Ferrell, Eddie Murphy and others are also strong performers, as are films by filmmakers like Mel Brooks, ZAZ and others.

The drama and comedy genres overall don't perform well on Blu-ray, unless they have something else going for them. Most people don't see the need to upgrade.

I'm curious about Sidney Lumet's "That Kind of Woman"... I feel like it's likely that you'd release something directed by Lumet and with that cast if you could. I know that you can't say whether you have something or not, but I also know you sometimes are willing to indicate when a title has music or legal clearance issues that prevent any release, and the reason I'm curious about it is that it's never gotten a release in any format. (I can't even find evidence of a VHS release.)

It's either coming from another label or by the studio, we asked for it, it was originally cleared, but then removed.

I hope so too, but the Insider recently said most of Paramount's Euro titles negatives reside in Europe so I highly doubt it.
