So I have a delay when I go from channing the tv from cable to the AVR when I turn the AVR on. Is this normal? here is my sequence. Tv on, PS3, AVR on. I have my ps3 connected to the AVR and the avr hdmi out to the tv. SHould there be much of a delay in the tv setting that wont let the video show up for a few seconds? I would say about 10 or 15 seconds it will finally switch over. Anyone have this problem

Have you tried turning on the AVR first out of the three? I assume you have HDMI hooked up to it and from it to the TV, right?

Also, I had some delay issues with my new Pioneer, and I had to change the setting "Native" to "Off" in my DVR, and this made things quicker. Since you have a Pioneer as well, try this setting in your DVR first, then maybe change the order things comes on.....

I'm save a little money to get this receiver. It looks like a really good one for the money.

This new article might answer the delay questions

fors, I have a time warner cable box, and I dont think I have ever seen a Native setting to turn on or off, but I havent really been on the lookout for it either, and you are right, HDMI for everything, but I dont have my DVR/cable box even plugged into my receiver. I'm not sure whats going on with it if its not a DVR setting. Anything else on the receiver?

, missed that in your post. Anyway, it looks to me more like what trekdude linked for you as far as getting everything to work correctly. Give it a read......

Yup just read it. If I were to write a review for this reciever, it would be very similar! I love it so far, except for this ps3 non-sense. I'd love to hook up my cable box to the avr but I think I would have to have the reciever on in order for it to work, and the g/f isnt to thrilled with the remote situation as it is! Harm. 1 time it sounds like!

Newmason,
Question. When watching a bluray does the HD audio codec (TruHD, DTS Master) show on the receivers display? If so does it stay on the whole time or move back to the assigned input, 'BD.' And if it does display TruHD is it in big letters on the display or simply an indicator light that comes on. Sorry for all the questions but I sit about 10 - 12 feet from my setup so I want to be able to see the HD audio being decoded. I appreciate your feedback!!
