Black Friday of last year was Encanto, Clifford The Big Red Dog and Belfast. And early last month was Minions 2,Lightyear and The Black Phone.

Done plenty of double features.

But I'm not going to pass up on a $3 ticket at Harkins and Sony Rewards points for The Invitation. I guess they took out The Invitation from showings in Cine1 for Spiderman: No Way Home and Top Gun: Maverick?

5 movies in one day? How is this possible? Especially with Spider-man being 3 hours long.

Does your theatre have 10am matinees and 9pm movies?

My theatre only has 2 showtimes a day (4pm and 7pm usually) and 4 on weekends (12pm/2pm usually for shorter movies and like a 1pm for longer movies) so that's impossible to do at my theatre.

I saw 6 movies in 1 day between two different theaters for After Dark HorrorFest 2 in 2007.

Mulberry Street
Nightmare Man
Lake Dead
The Deaths Of Ian Stone
Tooth & Nail
Borderland

That's the most I've ever done, although I've done 5 a day at Film Festivals.

I would just be possible at my theater. I wouldn't personally line these up like this but as an example:

Invitation 10:40am
Spider Man:NWH 12:30pm
Jaws 3D 3:40pm
Dinner
Bullet Train 6:50pm
Top Gun: Maverick 10:05pm

That wouldn't be fun for me. But I might do 3 in one day if they were all movies I was into. Our local population for this spot is around 150-160k.

It is nice to have that option! But I haven't done an early movie in a long time.

Or a 10pm either, actually.

You're right, we are kind of spoiled here.

I think the movie theaters here don't start showing them until 1 PM.

On Saturday the earliest is 10:30am.

Regal is also offering $3 for a small popcorn that day.

Technically it’s still summer season so certain theaters have those earlier showtimes. Plus, this weekend is a holiday weekend so that gives theater chains an excuse to squeeze every last dollar out of families, students and folks off from work.

I’m sure James Cameron will have Disney force theaters to start playing Avatar 2 at like 8am every day especially with that long ass runtime lmao.

Better yet. He will make them play it 24 hours straight
