That makes so much sense!

Thanks!

I'll be spending at least half of my Saturday at Marcus Theater. Probably going to buy a pocket full of tickets, bouncing between rooms, packing my belly full of junk food, yelling out loud stuff like:
WATCH OUT!...THERE'S A SHARK BEHIND YOU!

I see, thanks.

Jaws 3D with a giant tub of popcorn should be fun to see. I haven't had a giant tub of popcorn at the movies in many years mostly due to avoiding the overpricing of popcorn, and how often the 2nd half of the bag is mostly kernel shells that get stuck in the teeth. Hopefully the quality of the popcorn has improved since then. But they always seem to scrape the bottom of the metal tray to pull up the popcorn (to rotate it so it doesn't get too old on the bottom I guess).

They are offering a limited selection at our local theater that day but I'm not complaining.

Just got 2 tickets for Jaws in IMAX for Saturday. Just hoping it's a decent presentation. The last movie I went to was Fathom Events The Thing 40th Anniversary and the screening wasn't great (cropped and faded colors).

I wanted to see the seating availability for this Saturday with the whole $3 option, but saw these online ticket purchases would take 2 seats for example, at $6 up to something like $10+ with taxes and fees.
Forget that, I'll continue to just visit the theater and buy tickets at the Box office window as always. There were still plenty of seats at different show times, so I'll take my chances. Will show up about 20 minutes before the show times to have a better chance at good seats.

What is frustrating is when buying tickets at the box office, there are often only a few seats available, but then by time the movie starts, the theater is still empty 90% of the time, so a lot of the reserved seats normally, are probably for people with monthly memberships, allowing them to sit wherever they want for any show, automatically reserving most of their favorite seats no doubt whether they show up or not... By that point, you can pick your seat most likely.

I miss the days where you could go and just sit wherever you wanted, but I guess there is some benefit to seating charts for those ordering online.

IFC Center also participating, and they're showing a bunch of good stuff on Saturday: Aliens, As Tears Go By, Blue Velvet, Chungking Express, Heat, In the Mood for Love, and more

I love that this is on the same day as my cousins wedding that I’m skipping. I am about to be at the theatre ALL DAY.

Bought tickets to see The Invitation, Fall, Breaking and Top Gun Maverick in Dolby Atmos on the Ultrascreen.

Not sure what I'm going to watch yet. Might just drive to a real IMAX screen and watch whatever they are showing there.
