Default Where can I find the best price on a pioneer right now?

Any ideas? I would prefer an elite but ill settle for a regular kuro at this point. I want to get one before the go away, if not I'll prolly end up getting a panasonic V10

Most low price store selling pionner, are those authorize retailer, check before you pull the trigger, no authorize retailer won't get you unit repair if something wrong.

LED price is almost the same current pionner plasma. You need to goes to a store do you if pionner is something really what you want, don't just listen to people.

The 5010 can typically be had for just under $1,500 after tax and shipping via Sam's Club Auctions.

I got one for my parents and it looks awesome.
And yes they are fully authorized dealers.

Absolutely! Especially if it is new in the box. I believe BB sent out coupons to reward zone members this week for this weekend as well. I got them but I am out of town and not sure what was in there.

Two weeks ago my local store had an additional 20% off clearance TV's over the weekend as well. Another 20% off would be blazing hot!

Don't be afraid to try and negotiate. Skip the sales drones and ask to speak with the store manager. Just be polite and tell them you noticed the set is on clearance and want to know what their best price is.

I have had them drop stuff a surprising amount. It doesn't hurt to ask.

Don't forget to use a credit card that adds an extra year of warranty. That would take you out to a full three years.

Good Luck!

hey nugent, I called a BB thats about an hour away from me because I saw on BB's website that they have 151s at this particular store, so I asked them how much they're selling them for and he said $4700+tax vs. their website $6500, do you think I can talk them down more than $4700? I also have a 10% off coupon on any tv $799 and up(expires 9/30/09) do you think I can use that too?

wow! I cant seem to find these prices you guys are getting from BB. Maybe someone who got these low kuro prices can PM me some form of proof of it so I can talk to my BB manager and see if I can get it lowered?

It would be much appreciated
I was going to go for a panasonic over the kuro only because of price!

As far as them coming off some more it's hard to say. From what I have seen and heard BB stores are all over the place on price, especially on clearance items. I see no reason why the 10% off coupon wouldn't fly. That would knock off another $470. Of course you would still have tax to contend with.

Getting it from BB would have value in that you would not have to worry about the warranty.

If you go the BB route make sure if you haven't already, sign up for the Reward Zone program. It's free. Not sure of the going rate now but I know you get points which they give you in the form of BB gift certificates. On that amount it would be a nice little perk.

I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask, yeah, I am a reward zone "Premier Silver" cardholder , I get about $20 in certs just about every month from buying blus. having that 2yr Manf warranty will be a huge weight off my mind, would you buy an extended warranty with it or will the 2yrs be suffient

This is just my most humble opinion, but, I am not a fan of extended warranties. Personally, I just used my Amazon Visa to purchase mine which gave me an additional year of warranty. I figure 3 years will be adequate.

Everybody has different levels of risk a acceptance so you need to do whatever makes you sleep best at night.

Most electronics are going to fail right away if there is a problem. I know in many years of buying electronics I have never regretted buying extended warranties.

Best Buy has the Panasonic 50" G10 1080p plasma on sale this week for only $1299.99. That is an amazing buy, but it only goes through today, July 4th until 6pm. Chances are it will be on sale again at that price soon enough especially when the newer models get released this Fall.

Agree, when an item is on clearance, it generally means a new model(s) are arriving soon and the store needs to make room for them and are willing to negotiate (especially in this economy) to move them out. Televisions take up a lot of room in a retail location such as Best Buy so the quicker they can move them, the quicker they can get the newer models on the showroom floors. Even at clearance prices, there can be a $500+ mark up.
