Default Trying to find the best price on a 42pz80u

Does anyone know a deal on the 42" panny? I don't get the sales paper and no one posts the tvs prices. I have been watching the price for a couple months and have seen it drop about $100. Before someone says for me to do the research, I have. But I am hoping someone else knows of another source. Amazon has it through 6ave for $900 w/ free ship, abesofmaine.com has it for $920 w/ free ship and a free wall mount ($150 value), 6ave.com has it for $888 w/ free ship, and butterfly photo has it for $884.

I currently have the 50" 80u in the living room and am looking to get this tv for the bedroom. I am set on the panny as I love mine, but am not opposed to the 85u or even moving up to the 46" if the price is the same or pretty dang close.

I want to order the tv in the next couple of weeks (at least before the end of Feb.) and am hoping to get for $800 but will go up to ~$900.

please don't post that I should upgrade the living room tv to a kuro and put the panny in the bedroom, or such other pointless replies. I am going to wall mount it in the bedroom and have to be able to afford all the other stuff/costs. (including another ps3 for a bd player). I wish I could afford to do something better but am only 23 yrs old, just graduated college in dec. and newly married (6months) It all has to do w/ my current cash to spend.

Sorry for the long post and thanks for any help.

I have been itching to pull the trigger for a week now, I have decided on the 46" 85U. However the 42" 80u was on my list. These were the three best I had:

6Ave 888 +tax(NY)
buydig 884.95 (free ship, no tax) (I don't see this one on their site anymore)
Amazon 899 +tax(NY)

I would agree that the PX model would be a better option. Since you have a 50" in the living room, save the money and put the PX model in the bedroom instead. If you are like me, a bedroom tv is only to watch tv on and not movies. I see no need for a 1080p set in a bedroom unless you are so close that you can see the pixel structure.

The 720p version was on Amazon a couple of days ago for $669. Not sure if it's still at that price since Amazon sometimes changes their prices on some items every hour.

I would just keep an eye on Amazon and 6ave.com for a few days until the price hits what you want for either the PX (720p) or PZ (1080p) model.

ya I was think ing about the 720p but I figure if I ever move out of my 1 bedroom apartment I will probably want a 1080p as the tv would more then likely go into the living room. and the 50" into a more dedicated HT. We will also use it ot watch blus. But ya the distance thing I was thinking about. I just don't want to get a 720 and then in a yr or so wish I had gotten the other one. decisions decisions

Don't regret one bit. The picture is stunning.
