It's good you're able to follow the story as that was a criticism of both movies to a degree but to be honest people can struggle with the differences in how the Chinese write stories vs USA stories.



I would be preordering without a doubt, Jiang Ziya was my preferred film out of the 3 for the more adult storytelling and themes. I do note Chengdu Coco Cartoon includes homages to other animated films (Jiang Ziya = Berserk, Ne Zha 2 = Evangelion) which is always good to see (there's probably others but these were the most obvious).
The poster always puts me off this movie and I wasn't in the slightest bit interested. But I've just seen the trailer and it looks fun, similar to the Monkey King and "To the West" movies. I've been watching Chinese movies for years so story style is not an issue. It doesn't look like any 3D showings are near me. But Jaws is coming back for one day this week.
