Receiver setup question

Alright so I disconnected everything, took the receiver out of the rack and back onto the floor, reconnected everything and it works now The only thing I did different was to not connect the front speaker cables. Before, they were connected but left on the floor (since I didn't receive my new speakers yet). One thing I failed to mention was the fact that there was static instead of sound coming from the center channel before the receiver shut off. I checked to make sure it was well connected and it was. My wires all have banana plugs with colours on them so they weren't reversed The funny part though is that when the cable box setting was changed from HDMI to Digital, I didn't get any sound but also the receiver didn't shut off I just hope nothing got screwed up in the process.

Did you change the HDMI input setting for the DVR/Cable Box in the 05 from HDMI to "---" or Off and then change Digital In to Opt-1 or are you getting sound now Gates?
