Ya, I knew it was Lynch's wishes, and I can certainly respect that. Unfortunately, when I first saw the film I was deployed overseas and had to borrow a laptop to watch it. There were multiple interruptions to my viewing of the movie, so each time I got back to it I would have to fast forward for a good deal of time to find the spot I left off. So, I do understand the theory behind Lynch's insistence on no chapters, but I doubt he meant to frustrate viewers that had no choice but to compartmentalize their viewing experience.

Moreover, with the ability to set bookmarks at the hardware level, I think his original concept has been defeated. I’m not at all insistent on the inclusion of chapters, just curious to see if his intentions are still being applied at this stage in the game.

I hope the release is everything we hope it will be and you get to watch it in perfect circumstances. Such an atmospheric film.
