and lets be serious, the Pacific Land subplot was thrown in there as an excuse for Tallahasse to mow down scores of zombies. Does anyone really have a problem with that?

Oh don't get me wrong, the scene needed to be there. They just were lazy in the writing department to get them there.

HAHAHA...your kidding, right?
Anyhoo...can someone spoil it for me (use spoilers please). Not gonna see this but I wanna know why this movie will forever change how we see Ghostbusters, twinkies, amusement parks?

Thanks.

Default Zombieland is zombiegood.

1) Bill Murray cameo alone was worth the admission price and I paid matinee. I don't think this is a spoiler any more. Best cameo of 2009.
2) Must buy on blu-ray. Better than resident evil series, flight of the dead, diary of the dead, shaun of the dead( by a hair), and every straight to dvd.
3) Very good bonus scene after the end movie credit. Too bad if you missed it and I don't want to even hint it.
4) Zombie kill of the week is inventive.
5) Dang nabbit, I'm craving a twinkie and snow-balls will not suffice.

Great movie... laughs, violence, gore... and Woody... doesn't get any better.

Plus, best cameo of all time!

It's nothing huge, just more like a brief gag reel.
[Show spoiler] After having been shot in the chest, Bill Murray awakens from his "slumber" and starts acting like Carl Spackler, his character from Caddyshack. It appears that Woody Harrelson is urging him to do this, so he obliges.
It's actually quite funny, but doesn't contribute anything to the movie...plotwise.

this film was great, in consideration for my top 10 of the year, very fun, oftern funny, and sometimes heartfelt, it was great.

my only problem is that the movie felt out of balance, with alot of scares in the first 30 mins, then the movie slows down in the next 30 mins and all the action at the end, plus I was expecting a tad more gore.

I saw this the other night. I didn't think it was great but it did have it's moments. Does anybody else think that they had Michael Cera in mind when they were writing the part of Colombus ?

That's all a matter of opinion and there's really no reason to compare the two's movies just because somebody asked if anyone thought they had Michael Cera in mind for Columbus. To actually answer the question the person asked though, I would say no. Jesse Eisenberg and Michael Cera both can pull off very similar characters.
