Look up the definition of speculation, and then get back to me. You don't have to be a major news outlet to speculate. (But the major news outlets sure jumped all over the story.)

In any case, I liked that you refuted my post with a link to a blog. And you have to admit, Ibanez seemed to overreact a bit, and got awfully defensive. If it wasn't worth responding to, he shouldn't have responded to it.

Yeah, that was pretty bad. If the umpire isn't as dumb as he seems, then I'm sure as soon as Howard threw toward second, he knew he made the wrong call (because by throwing to second, Howard is showing he realized he got it off a bounce, and is going for a double play, since Posada is so slow... even if the double play fails, you at least get one of the runners in scoring position out).
