Yeah I will pick it up, I really want to get Sin City too, and of course the new Predator Hunter Edition.

I bought Predator on Blu-ray this December and while it isn't the best looking Blu-ray, it isn't one of the worst either. I'm all for a new transfer but unless this new transfer has details as strong as "Crimson Tide" has for example, I'll probably wait for a price drop as there are other movies I still want to get. I doubt detail will increase so much but I'll wait for the screenshot comparisons.

On the current Blu-Ray version of Predator I've noticed a lot of telecine wobble (shakiness of the picture) and it is really annoying. If they re-mastered it for this edition (please god!) hopefully the telecine wobble will be gone.

If so they are wrong. Now if the 2008 had been avc, 50 gig, high bitrate average and looked as it does I'd agree.

A blu-ray (or any encode for that matter) can only look as good as the source. IF Predator is actually transparent to the master, a higher bitrate will not change a single thing... because it is already identical to the source.

Nope because there is a reason why the original release had to have a higher bitrate and it does not apply to Predator.

I"m very curious to know how the new transfer turns out and I'm hoping for enough of an improvement to justify the doubledip.

Oh and even if something is “ marginally better " that means it's noticably better too. Otherwise you wouldn't have noticed a marginal increase. I can do this all night.
