my god thank you all for the prompt replies

how do i KNOW my studs in my wall are 16 inches apart?
i installed a shelf a few months ago and my stud finder kept telling there is a stud and i drilled like 12 holes, per the stud finder, to find 2 studs

will the mount link in the 1st post fit my 54 panny plasma?
^^that^^ is probably a dumb question, but like i said.....tools arent my specialty
