I got a cheaper mount from them, but generally, they really are that easy to install. The smaller one I got had lag bolts that would go most of the way into a 2x4, and I would doubt this one would have anything less.
One useful tool, though, will be a stud finder. They're cheap enough to buy one, or just borrow from a buddy. Use this to find the in-wall location of your studs (mark both left & right edges, then mount to center). I wouldn't ever hang a big TV with any other option than lag-bolting into the studs. I prefer to drill pilot holes for any lag bolt usage, and a quick search brought up this easy guide: http://www.renovation-headquarters.c...pilot-hole.htm Notice their separation of shank and thread sizes. |
