It's not even Karate!! It's wu shu.. Lets get close, & just say the matrix/Kung Fu kid.. The Karate Kid never needed a remake. The original is a classic.. This is just a sad attempt to put Smith's son in a film that was almost guaranteed to make money.. Albeit, it did make more then I thought it would.. But seriously.. Did any other actor besides Jaden have a chance at the role.. He has the Athleticism that Ralph never had, but is too young for the part, & his acting is a level below Ralphs.. I'm sure I can enjoy this film for what it is, but 4.5 seems way too high.. I could be wrong.. I just loved the original & felt no need for a remake..
