Sony uses the Alpha number for different models to indicate higher quality.
S- Is the low end model - The LCD has larger pixels and the lesser Bravia engine V-Is a step up with a better LCD screen but usually the same Bravia engine W-Is a the better LCD screen and XBR engine XBR is their top of the line, currently XBR4 & XBR5 they have the higher pixel court per inch, and the Bravia PRO Engine. In a Nut Shell, the W line is an XBR without the XBR frame! It is most bang for the bucks! I have an XBR2 40" myself! Hopes this helps! |
