Default 3 New Models Of Sony Sxrd Update

I just compared the manual between the 2006 SXRD rear projectors and the new 2007 SXRD rear projectors. Both the 2006 and 2007 models according to the instruction manuals are 100% exactly the same accept for different model numbers. I compared all 67 pages and the manuals are identical accept for the model numbers. Same console weight and size, same number of inputs. I am disappointed. Why did Sony even come out with a 2007 model? I wonder if the firmware version is exactly the same also. Sony must have made some small change to the firmware inside the set or something or why would you have a set that is exactly the same with different model numbers? Hopefully when the new 2007 SXRD XBR displays come out there will be improvements like 1080P/24 support and two way QAM tuner with S cablecard support for video on demand. I am guessing we should see something in September.
Since as far as I can tell both the 2006 and 2007 Sony SXRD are exactly the same I recommend people to purchase the 2006 models that can be found on clearance. Why pay a few hundred dollars more for a 2007 model if the only difference is the model number?

Here is a link to both manuals in case someone wants to see what I am talking about
