It's just rough, and I appologize, but I was just venting a little.... My wife is a physician at a small family clinic that treats a predominantly un-insured population. We spend money on certain things we enjoy, everyone does, but just a few weeks ago she was telling me about seeing a young girl, who was in there, paying on the "sliding scale" so her entire visit was $5 or so, but she had an I-Phone...... my wife was just mystified at why this girl, with no insurance, on public assistance, would have an I-Phone.

I was just trying to say, if prices of gas were putting that big of a strain on your budget, you probably shouldn't have jumped into HD yet, be it Blu-Ray, or a $3,000 television.....

I guess I was raised with conservative values, and was taught at an early age to SAVE SAVE SAVE...... My parents still scoffed at me when they visited us, and saw the T.V. and other stuff..... my parents were actually disappointed because they raised me to know better.

I'm sure if people wanted to they could max out credit cards for Blu-Rays.... it's your right to do so I guess, so have fun..... I've gotta save, because it always rains when you're least prepared.

HAHA!!! yeah... True.... of course she sees 16 year old girls that are "concerned" because they're trying to get pregnant, and haven't been able to

The girls/guys she sees are usually carrying something, but it isn't a baby

I guess it does affect me in a very minimal way, but only by 2 discs/year.

My car gets close to 40mpg so I don't worry about it too much.

(I hate spending a lot for gas.)

I have you beat

My commuting car is a Honda Insight which I am currently getting about 52mpg in the city and about 60mpg on the highway. The family car is a lexus hybrid SUV the RX-400H. It get about 30mpg, so I am not really hurting as much as others are.
