he's freaked out about new formats......his day 1 star wars release with laser disc made him nervous. considering that format died hard and fast and he got hosed.

Actually, Laserdisc didn't die hard and fast. It was around for a very healthy period of time. And the Star Wars laserdiscs were some of the best selling LD's at the time. I have the $250.00 OT 'Definative Collection' boxset myself. As well as the $125.00 OT 'Special Edition' boxset. Still great sets.

I heard the next thing for Star Wars (films, not TV or animation projects) is going to be 3D versions. I am sure George will make major $ off of that and then 6-8 months later they will all come out on Blu.
