That is a very interesting idea as well as a bit of a book spoiler if they went that way. They have indicated that Stannis doesnt have much of army left to take to the wall. If they do this should book readers take it as confirmation that Lil Griff is the Mummers Dragon? The show has already stomped on the theories that Jeyne Westerling is pregnant.

Thats how its in the books also. The reveal comes in the epilogue in book 3. Imagine what this would stir up its an even bigger OMG moment than RW and PW. People who have not read the books would go insane when they see LS and that its Catelyn.

I would love that, all of a sudden non-book readers think that every death is now fair game for resurrection, ha!

Yes there is a lot of that in the books but the show has avoided it because of contracts with the actors. Theon did not disappear in the show as he did in the book...neither did Rob.

Theon didn't really "disappear". He wasn't in the book due to the timeline of the story of book 4.

But this is a whole other thing. Because this is supposed to be a surprise for the reader and the viewer that this is coming

Enjoying reading this thread. I am a little over half way done with the fifth book. I have a friend at work who is in to the show but hasn't read the books. He is constantly asking for spoilers from the books. I enjoy giving him "hmms" and cryptic responses!!

Well it works great from a fan perspective but u have to have Michelle Fairley on board. Basically ur asking her to come in for one day of shooting for all of season four and not make any long term career commitments so she can return for season five and beyond.

Slightly off-topic, she did keep busy after GoT Season 3. She will have a role in the upcoming 24 mini-series.

She was recurring on Suits for awhile. I think. I don't watch the show, but I would see ads for it.

He didn't, but the reason why he hasn't disappeared like he did in the books is because his story line which is taking place in ADWD was taking place during/around the time of ASOS. Either way it wouldn't matter since the show isn't doing a book per season, so certain characters stories will be further along than others.

Yes. She did a full season. Varys also did parts of 2 seasons.

He wasnt a POV character in ASOS. In A Storm of Swords, Catelyn received a piece of Theon's skin and learns that he is being flayed by Ramsay Bolton. In Feast for Crows, he is believed dead. Then in last book we had Reek.

Anyway, the point is if u leave Alfie Allen out of Season 3 or Richard Madsen out of S2 on the show and they get a full time gig u might not be able to get them back...then they end up recasting a major part. IMO that is one of the main reason they have added stuff and moved other stuff around. Now maybe MF is OK with not committing to long term projects for a year...who knows?

On a different and spoilery topic, there is a lot of buzz about the new Arya chapter for WoW. It has some controversial stuff that I doubt will ever see the light of day on the tv show.

I've read the new Arya chapter and didn't think it was that far out there crazy for HBO to do, and after all, Maisie Williams is 17 years old now and will be 18 in less than a year, plus this stuff probably wouldn't occur until around season 6 or so, so maybe about two more years possibly.
